punk, metal, other loudness

Charlie's Pipe Dream - funky punk or punky funk? You decide.
Dyno-Mites! - perky? perhaps. dyno-mite in any case.
the Evil Agents - instrumental surf/blues/pop.
Ground Round - ecclectic punk
Merge - superb indy pop-punk
Merry Goddamn Christmas - En Guard 7", 4 bands, yuletide death.
Noise - punk, punk, punk! (aka Noyz)
the Plan - a little bit of every thing.
Sawbelly - prepare for a kick in the face.
Schpinsch - nice mix of influences.
Sleep In Safety - industrial strength riot.
Skinkeeper - lo-fi metallic rock.
Tolerance - truely legendary Summerside metal.
the Woodpeckers - punk lite.

not-so-heavy rock, and lighter stuff

six string malfunction - alluring, soft electronica using less equipment than you'd expect.
Robert Deeble/Days Like These - folksy pop.
the Fish - ecclectic rock.
Nerdy Girl - almost punk, nearly angst, purely fun.
James Phillips - folk/classic rock influenced. Sounds from 20 years ago made today.
Strawberry - legends from Charlottetown.

weird shit

Andy Sloan - satire and wit in a lo-fi package.
gavin + worm - very odd 'art rock'
Headgear - Tom Waits fronting Ultravox?
Ojas - "melodic hardcore, prog-rock and No-Wave jazz"
Someone Else's Problem - sound kinda like Bowie and Byrne shared an apartment for awhile.
Songs From A Random House - no guitar, no drums, no piano. and, no, it's not a blank tape.
Space Opera - growing legend, ecclectic psychadelica
superfluous pretzel - (mostly) acoustic lo-fi brilliance
David Zax - "it might sound trite, but it's the only result I get."
