It says in the cover letter that this was recorded with "guitar and bass with some drum machine snippets, occasional vocals and short-wave radio ... no synth, just heavy processing." Now, I'm not accusing them of lying, but if I hadn't read that before listening, I would've congratulated them on their keyboard work. The best way to describe the overall sound would be terrific background music with an occasional disturbance. The first time I listened to this I was walking on a clear day. There was a warm breeze and seagulls flying by. The music fit the setting so well it made me wonder if one was caused by the other or simply enhanced.
