Skinkeeper is no more, but Mighty Trust Crusher has risen from their ashes and two Skinkeeper demos remain for our listening pleasure: Touch a Bitter Sky, and this one, Starve. They have a somewhat derivative Metallica/Nirvana/Sabbath sound, but it works. Sandy
leaves much to be desired, though, despite voice effects. In fact, this tape may have sounded better if they went heavy on the effects and aimed for an industrial sound. I usually advise bands to do just the opposite, but I think it would work here. Extra points for a fun cover of "Message In A Bottle". Cool computer usage on the inlay card, too.
